Design and style of the sewing pattern BRENÉ

When I imagined the BRENÉ sewing pattern, I wanted a sewing pattern suitable for beginners, but with a nice detail. It's that lovely lapel that makes all the difference! You can cut it in a contrasting fabric to use your scraps. You can also use small buttons from your stock to highlight the edge of the lapel. For a more couture touch, I used covered buttons for the demo versions.

It's snug to the chest to avoid embarrassing moments when bending over, and the straps are wide enough to cover your bra straps. Stylish and practical !

• My bust measurement is 88 cm / 34 5/8'' (ease +4 cm / 1 5/8'')
• A hack to shorten the BRENÉ top is available: you'll learn how to draw the hem line so that the front is shorter than the back.

Fabric requirements

10 cm / 4’’ allowance is added to the main fabric requirement calculation.

Suggested fabrics for the camisole top BRENÉ

• Any light or medium weight fabric. If you are just starting to sew, choose a medium cotton fabric.
• For a flowing version of the top, choose silk, tencel or viscose fabric.
• Why not using a contrasting fabric from your leftover fabric scraps to make the lapel ?

• My bust measurement is 88 cm / 34 5/8'' and the samples I am wearing are size 38 (ease of 4 cm / 1 5/8'').
